Secure Capital is a Commercial Real Estate Investment advisor who’s principal advisors have completed transactions in excess of 3 Billion dollars. Secure Capital is focused on long term value creation for our trusted clients and investors who trade and invest in commercial real estate throughout North America. We are committed to maximizing risk-adjusted returns for investors and partners.

David Ogden founded the Secure Capital Group of Companies in 2001. David has created private and public equity investment vehicles in addition to providing real estate advisory services to a diverse client base. David and his partners have completed transactions in over 250 properties in North America. Secure Capital has established a number of private equity vehicles with prominent high net worth Ontario and Nova Scotia families pursuing value add investments.

Secure Capital’s valuable relationships have grown to include significant pension funds, financial institutions, insurance companies, public companies (including Real Estate Investment Trusts) and private investors.

David received his Honours in Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in 1989. David received Canada’s Top 40 under 40 award in 2004, which recognized his creation of an independent, boutique real estate advisory company and his various charitable initiatives and leadership. This national program sponsored by The Globe and Mail, and founded and managed by The Caldwell Partners, considers nominees based on achievements in growth, vision, leadership, innovation, impact, and community involvement. David is an avid sailor and member of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. He has won 4 North American and other National Championships in the J35 and J24 class. David won a silver medal for Canada in sailing at the 2015 Pan Am Games.

David is a past member of the board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Toronto. He founded and leads the annual Commercial Real Estate initiative for Habitat for Humanity Toronto. In 2007 Secure Capital in partnership with the Sorbara Group founded ISG Capital Corporation (“ISG”), a publicly traded company on the TSX Venture Exchange. In November of 2012, ISG entered into an arrangement agreement with Firm Capital and converted to a REIT now called Firm Capital Property Trust TSXV: FCD.UN.
